Where are Excel-Lin Therapy Solutions therapists seeing patients?
Our therapists are available for in-home physical therapy appointments across Southern California, specifically Orange and Los Angeles Counties. In all the neighborhoods we serve, we come to you to make the PT / OT experience as convenient as possible.
Is Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy covered by my insurance?
Excel-Lin accepts many insurance plans and we handle the benefits verification process for you. With Excel-Lin, you always pay the same exact co-pay your insurance plan has for visiting a PT / OT clinic. We accept all major insurances and Medicare. Do I need a prescription (referral) to see a Excel-Lin Therapy Solutions physical therapist and occupational therapist?
In most cases, you will not need a referral for physical therapy and occupational therapy. Some insurance providers do require a doctor’s referral, and we will promptly let you know if that is the case with your insurance.
Commercial insurance / Self-pay rulesIn California, Direct Access rules allow patients to be seen for physical therapy / occupational therapy for up to 12 visits with no prescription. After the 12 visits or 45 days (whichever is first), the Excel-Lin Therapy Solutions team will work with your doctor to obtain a prescription if more visits or time is needed.
Medicare rules (pending)Medicare requires a signed plan of care for your physical therapy and occupational therapy. Your Excel-Lin Therapy Solutions therapist will create a plan of care during your initial visit, and our team will work with your doctor to get therapy approved. You will need a new plan of care established every 60 days or 10 visits whichever is sooner.

When and where can I have my appointment?
Appointments for your personal home physical / occupational therapy are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm and weekends are by appointment only. We make it hassle-free to complete your full course of care by having your Excel-Lin Therapy Solutions therapist come to you. In general, our therapists will be treating with you at the comfort and safety of your home.
Can I see the same physical therapist every visit?
We strive to have a single therapist work with each patient for their entire course of care. Sometimes your scheduling priorities may require adjustments, but you’ll always know who is seeing you for your appointment in advance.
